With how hard climate change is expected to hit India and the rest of south Asia... It would honestly be lucky if India doesn't become a failed state in the next few decades. It's hard to emphasis just how badly south asia will be impacted by rising temperatures and sea level rise. Not just India, but Pakistan and bangladesh and myanmar will also be fucked, and chaos will spill over into India. Not helping of course in the existing religious and ethical tensions in India that will just get much worse as conditions worsens. And the Indian government is just not capable/strong enough to solve this issues as it arises.
