I dont know whether Russia prevented investment but China should consider itself very luckly that it has Russia otherwise China would have very wide alliance on door step. i read alot of stuff slight weakness in China and things will become very different. Yes Central Asia is Russia spare of influence. The Religious relations regardless of politics and now further extending common air defense/nuclear protection. Alteast Russia can manage this airbase in Syria but the people behind this does not have much tolerance for many things. The fundamental alliance will further shift towards US the more prolong competence Israel display in the region.

This ain't a bad thing most likely. When someone remotely significant leaves and/or "hides" their wealth, there is often government involvement. In that manner, Singapore acts as an alt account that lets China's intel community sheep dip people and assets, under the guise of a "western friendly" state. Places like Singapore are possibly the major reason making China's undercover strength as powerful as it is.

No, not a joke. When Yoon plan kicks off, China just needs to leak the false flag and US will be extremely confused by the fact that SK's leader killed American soldiers, in the meantime, a state of war would exist between NK/China and SK. The SK military command will also be confused and in disarray. To say nothing of SK civilians, who would go from normal life one day to military government, mass civil arrests and war in the next.

During this one to two week confusion period, it should be enough time for NK to advance dozens of kms and seize heavily populated areas. Then, there will be immediate talks to freeze the conflict and oust Yoon, as Trump is inaugurated.

The whole event has the same style as the Shan state offensive written on it.
