The US has in my opinion only two advantages. One is their nuclear attack submarines, and the other is reusable launchers like the ones by SpaceX.

In case of a full blown peer vs peer conflict you can expect each side to start shooting down the satellites of the other. The side with the greatest launch and satellite building capacity will likely win that part of the conflict.
two?. what is this B-52 cruise missile. this missile will avoid the air defense systems.
US bomber can operate/reload outside the conventional weopon range. attack submarine has limited range missile and hard to reload.

The H model can carry up to 20 air-launched cruise missiles. In addition, it can carry conventional cruise missiles that were launched in several contingencies starting in the 1990s with Operation Desert Storm and culminating with Operation Inherent Resolve in 2016.
The use of aerial refueling gives the B-52 a range limited only by aircrew endurance. It has an unrefueled combat range in excess of 8,800 miles (14,080 kilometers).

EU, China close to agreement over EV import tariffs, leading MEP says

FRANKFURT (Reuters) -Brussels and Beijing are nearing a solution over tariffs on Chinese electric vehicle imports into the bloc, the chair of the trade committee of the European Parliament told a German broadcaster.

"We are close to an agreement: China could commit to offering e-cars in the EU at a minimum price," Bernd Lange told n-tv, without elaborating. "This would eliminate the distortion of competition through unfair subsidies, which is why the tariffs were originally introduced."

The European Commission was not immediately available for comment.

The European Union last month decided to increase tariffs on Chinese-built electric vehicles to as much as 45.3% in its highest-profile trade investigation, a move that has divided Europe and triggered retaliation from Beijing.

The tariffs, which became effective on Oct. 30, were imposed to counter what it says are unfair subsidies including preferential financing and grants as well as land, batteries and raw materials at below market prices.

Despite the tariffs coming into force, both sides have continued negotiations to find a solution, fuelling hopes primarily among German carmakers — which heavily depend on the Chinese market — that a trade dispute can be averted.

China's Chamber of Commerce to the EU at the time said it was profoundly disappointed by the "protectionist" and "arbitrary" EU measure.

Instead of the EU collecting tariff taxes. Manufacturers who built Chinese made cars will receive more profits. Tesla Shanghai is probably loving this.

It's pretty insane that Europe is so corrupt, their aristocracy are trying negotiate for China increase profit made from Europeans consumers, just so the aristocracy can continue to also exploit their own people.

Anothe the economist CN article.

Good, anything that breaks off Europe from the Trump regime is good for China.

Who is this crazy Alex Wong? BTW, someone has to go to jail if China doesn't ramp up its nuclear strike force rapidly.

Wow, the knife is out in Philippines.

The Economist, nuff said.

Russia supplied air defense missiles to North Korea in return for its troops, South Korea says

The whole North Korea - Russia integration is very interesting.

I think a strategy and a coordinated buildup for the US-China showdown is more becoming apparent.

China, with its relatively small but highly advanced military, would act as a scalpel. Their focus is on destroying the ISR, logistics, air defense and shipping networks across US held territories. Thus making each link in the island chains across the Pacific unable to support other links.

To smash the individual links themselves, that's where the allies come in. With how much civilian shipping China controls, they don't even need dedicated transport for NK troops or Wagner. These troops give the PLA the ground numbers heft that it doesn't have, and are able to police areas/defeat insurgents while the PLA moves the frontline ahead.

China needs to buy maybe half a year to 1.5 years to fully reorient industry and population. The inclusion of allied low/middle end forces allows China to turn the 2nd island chain into a hellscape of urban combat that will bog down and demoralize NATO forces.

Once China has entered full war mode, it's questionable if even an all out nuclear strike by US can end the advance. If you think about it, war with NATO means that all the scientists, engineers and workers formerly participating in trade with NATO are now focused on devising war equipment instead. China today already has the strongest air defenses by far, to the point where even enemy military officials have stated it is pointless to attack the mainland conventionally. If we put a ton of engineers on solving the ICBM problem, there's a non-zero chance that we can deprive US of the MAD card.

I read that APEC was Biden's last international get together. You heard nothing of the US meeting anyone at the G-20. Then you have Biden and Trudeau holding up this photo opportunity by having a meeting. Were they just playing drama queen? What does it say when Lula just wanted to take a picture without them? How's Modi's relation with both the US and Canada lately? It seems pretty lonely over there in the US and Canada.
