Its kind of like how the Safavid Empire was founded by fundamentalist warriors who were so radical they believed their emperor to be a living god and subsequent emperors who wanted to move the empire in a more moderate direction were forced to get rid of them. Of course back in those times the solution really was just as simple as straight up murdering them all, which the Dems aren't going to do obviously haha.
But the principle remains that if they want to have a snowball's chance in hell winning next time, provided Trump doesn't abolish term limits, the radical left elements of the Democratic party that based their entire ideaology on identity are going to have to be done away with. Because surprise surprise, when you encourage your base to divide themselves into separate identities and rank themselves by oppression you get, drumroll........division! But although the idea exists, it remains to be seen how far they can take it. Yes there is a nationwide purge of soft on crime DA's, but that's all just straight up common sense rather than any indication the party is ready to move away from identity politics. Some key Dems are peddling the idea but others, mostly POC who've staked their careers on identity politics, are doubling down. It'll be a tug of war that decides if the Dems can bounce back from this defeat.
