Former CDC director under Trump Robert Redfield who once consider that Covid was a Chinese lab leak , now believes it was a bio weapon created by the US

When pressed on whether the virus was 'actually developed here' and that the Chinese may have been wrongfully accused of developing the virus, Redfield doubles down.

'Well, I don’t know if they were framed, but I think there is a real possibility that the virus’s birthplace was Chapel Hill,' Redfield said, naming the hometown of the University of North Carolina.

Some key Dems are peddling the idea but others, mostly POC who've staked their careers on identity politics, are doubling down. It'll be a tug of war that decides if the Dems can bounce back from this defeat.

as long as democrats are right wing neoliberals, they will never be able to defeat the republicans except for errors by the republicans. near 0 republicans will switch over to democrat for moving to the right because that only validates their ideas that more right wing = more right.
