Maybe it's a good thing. Gives Americans an outlet to focus on. Plus I bet like 95% of contracts to build a tier 1 city in America will go to Chinese firms and tech. Especially if Trump wants to import assets to run a limited low altitude economy.
As long as Trump ends US expansionism and does not try to steal or cheat in his dealings with China, there can be a frank dialogue where assembly can be carried out domestically in US, giving jobs, transport and housing that has for too long had suffered from deflated wages and inflated costs.

Why is it at all allowed to display the rainbow flag in China? It originates from US and is often used by the armed forces/arms manufacturers of countries/groups that have historically had genocidal intent against China and some which display aggression today as well.
By the logic of any more conservative state, this flag should be banned. You can't go into Lithuania and display Soviet General Yazov's personal unit banner, why then can you go into China and display symbols of Lockheed Martin or US army?
China should become (somewhat) less liberal, it's about properly educating people on what dangerous symbols mean.
LGBT people are welcome in China as long as they remember they are Chinese first. And if foreign LGBT want to come to China to seek freedom from persecution in theocratic dictatorships, they are welcome as long as they can contribute more than they take, do not display foreign military symbols and submit to health tests.
