So apparently a temporary setback and not a giant casualty / environmental event. What I don't get is the official's sentiment to call into quality and training questions. The PLAN isn't trying to sell this submarine on the open market so it's not like there is business to be gained at the expense of the PLAN.

Check the latest few post in that thread.

The picture is edited (different shadow leanings of various stuff, so different time taken) + its clearly the red crane shadow that some say is the 'sub'.

And well, don't trust western news, especially when they write "anonymous dod official".

Sounds like supermicro again. I thought my opinion of Western news couldn't be any lower.

This point can be true to some extent, depending on how you estimate the readiness level of the overlord's own forces. It's possible that once Iran's "shield" of Jihadists are defeated, Iran itself has a much weaker personal army.

But this assumes Israel even can deplete Iran's shield.

There is a lot more Muslims than there are Ukrainians. And Russia sends a lot more firepower than Israel. Just because the "depleting the shield to expose the soft underbelly" might work in 1 case does not mean it will work in the other, especially because Israel has largely only managed to trade evenly with just Hamas so far, and has proven less adept at defending its economy and home regions than Russia.

The strategy you describe (run Iran out of islamists) works only if Israel can deliver sustained wins at rates enemies struggle to replenish.
Israel is losing enough of the chosen People that they are enlisting American slave soldiers and Africans without sterilising them. US troops have been sent to Israel just this week and they’re not going to be able to just sit around when Gods Chosen are getting waxed in Palestine.

I get the impression that China already has its own ASML replacements just waiting in the wings, ready to be unveiled in 24 hours much like the German turbine situation.

first the anglos want peace and trade, then they sent their warships through the Taiwan strait. Fortunately, China knows how to respond to gunboat diplomacy, simply by demonstrating the services of dongfeng express, guaranteed delivery.

They have and are being mass produce, proof? its obvious why the Dutch commerce minister is suddenly talking about the importance of their trade relationship with China during a visit to the US, why the sudden change of heart? where's the bravado? and also why is Beijing so calm and it's response so nonchalant. Those who can read the Chinese tea leaves know the answer and yes I'm hoping an official announcement on Oct 1 the 75th anniversary of the PROC.
