All India doesn't have is a US base on its territory, in every other aspect its as good as an official US ally. Even in Ladakh, the outgoing US ambassador admitted that US was giving them real time intelligence . India has also signed all foundational military agreements with US. The notion that India shouldn't be pushed to the west is redundant as its already in their lap.
Yes, but if they were officially allied, China then has to worry about potential F-22 or F-35 took off from some Indian airports and move more troops to the Tibet plateau.

Unlike now China could mobilize an extra 100k+ Indian troops to suffer -40C in high attitude with poor equipment by nothing than their original deployment in Tibet and Xinjiang.

The whole "non-aligned" policy is a farce because in the past decades India is swinging between the West and Russia depending on which side offers the better bargain of the day, and for as long as Modi being the PM, India has gone all the way to the West, to the "proxy level" if you will.

China need not to "push" when India is "already there, deep".

.
So, this is the truth.

1.China suffered far smaller casualty than india; 4 vs 20

2. China took more than 1,000 square km of land from india.

3. China pushed the LAC to the 1959 pre war status.

If these do not suggest a total Decisive Chinese victory and total indian defeat and humiliation.

What do ?

:rolleyes::cool:
20 is actually just the official count released by the Indian government. There were numerous other sources, including from I believe the son of a PLA general, that at least 47 Indian soldiers died.

For moments like this I would like to dig out this old gem again:

And thus from now on, I can no longer take India as a nation seriously at all. In fact I can only consider India as a true example of a banana republic whose only exports is telemarketers and WION, both of which are annoying and only good for decreasing the IQ of all those who listen to it more then once.

The Indian Internet Army has been able to put out so much fake news about this incident, that it had basically completely drowned out the few good pieces there were on this. It’s ironic in that had their jets been able to throw interference out anywhere as effectively as their trolls, their plane would never have been shot down in the first place.

But from what I remember from following developments in real time, the PAF sent JF17s in with the strike package partly due to their EW capabilities and partly due to US limitations on what Pakistan can use their F16s for.

JF17 jamming proved to be super effective rending Bison blind and deaf (probably the same for the MKIs). JF17 killed the Bison as it attempted to flee back across the line while F16s took some pot shots at MKIs.

Pakistan claims F16s splashed an MKI while Indian side denies it (but then they also denied the Bison shoot down until wreckage and the pilot were paraded in front of cameras).

It is noteworthy that no crash site or wreckage of MKIs have ever been found, or at least no such evidence has ever been made publicly available.

I personally think this embarrassment is a key factor in India going back to France cap in hand for Rafales after high handily scuttling a much better deal earlier. The primary draw for the Indians would be its famous SPECTRA EW suit after they experience firsthand how much of a force multiplier and game changer that is, which is also probably why they seem to think such paltry numbers of Rafales will have a disproportionately bigger positive impact on their forces’ combat capabilities.
Agreed. I have a gut feeling that a Su-30MKI was splashed by an F-16. The Indians were quick to parade pieces of an Aim 120C to the world. Presumably they could have recovered it in Indian territory, where the Su-30MKI might have crashed. Before that fateful dogfight. The SU-30MKI was the darling of the IAF. Many things were boasted about it including its Bars radar, R77 missile, and most famously for "tracking" a J-20 at over 100km away (yeah right). After that incident, we don't hear much about the Su-30MKI. Now it's all about the Rafale and its AESA radar, Meteor missiles, and Scalp missiles.

The big clue to support this Su-30MKI shoot down theory is when was that Indian Mi-17 shot down? Was it before or after the Mig-21 Bison shoot down? If it was before, as I have gathered from the Pakistani media, then that Mi-17 was probably on SAR mission to recover the Su-30MKI crews.

Perhaps Hu Xijin is starting to notice how un-shockingly fast Indian BS news goes around. Its 2021 already, we live in a world where BS gets more traction than it deserves. Perhaps he could feedback that to his higher ups. This is the price for their lack of transparency in critical periods.

I can't see why hiding the real numbers at that time for this particular case could benefit China. By not embarrassing India? Well India is already on a warpath to embarrass China. So what does it matter? Would India not come to a deal because China is embarrassing India? I don't believe that BS. Pakistan humiliated the hell out of India after Operation Swift Retort. Did that humiliated India started a full-scale war with Pakistan? Nope.

This fake narrative that more PLA troops died than IA troops is gonna be written into some history books. I won't be surprised that some Indians in the future are gonna be gung-ho about another border confrontation with China. Because they were taught that "India had won the last one". Add people like Kakyan who couldn't care about the lives of Jawans and pilots. It's a recipe for another border confrontation to happen.
