There is no need for a war against India IMHO, because the current situation in India is just unsustainable.
A war could also create massive humanitarian disaster in India where China would surely be blamed.

Already the lives of ordinary people is unbearable with high food inflation, high unemployment and corruption. Meanwhile the super rich and the top politicians are obviously getting richer by the day. The best minds are lured by the West and everything seems driven by short term benefits of ruling class. The ineptness of the ruling class means that things will worsen day by day. Now there is a big farmer protest, while government is spending big money on foreign arms while cutting back on education. Hence the coming collapse of India is just waiting to happen.

It could have happened earlier, but didn't because the Indians themselves are highly divided along ethnic, caste, religious and socio-economic lines. Also, public opinions are manipulated by elites and politicians through mainstream media and religious indoctrination. This may make the masses believe India is shining, fighting against a bullying China, that being poor and ignored is an acceptable way of live etc. The tolerance level of ordinary folks is remarkably high.

But with advent of social media and widespread use of smart phones (thanks to Xiomi, Oppo etc) people are easily galvanized by political issues and no longer politically passive The border issue with China is a case in point. Due to Indian propaganda effort, the ordinary people believe that China is grabbing Indian land. Many of them now are criticizing the government for cracking down on farmers in Delhi while ignoring the so-called China land grab and the building of houses in Indian land. The kind of populism in US and parts of Europe is also coming to haunt India. And India is an even bigger tinderbox given the massive inequality.

It would be a good time for someone to write .. The coming collapse of India. Gordon Chang would be envious as this one will happen.

DRDO might want to spend a few million dollars improving spiked obstacles.
Lol... The DRDO might ask some feedback from two sides: The Indian Police or the Indian Army.

1) Indian Police might wanna go more medieval. They might want better 'pointy sticks'. Stronger, sharper, and scarier. Use stronger alloys. Better to cover them in cow dung, so that it could enhance their lethality against the angry farmers and their dreaded tractors.

2) Indian Army might wanna go for more modern and lethal. Since the BJP considers these farmers as terrorists, not Indians. The army might suggest for more military-grade stopping power for the angry farmers and tractors. Perhaps add-on some anti-personnel mines for the farmers, and anti-tank mines for the tractors. They won't be protesting anymore after crossing over those.

International outrage? No problem. Indian government can twist Twitter's arms to hush things up.

Roleplaying as westerners is their way of coping with their real life situation.

Your English tho...

Yes India decoupling from common sense and free trade areas like RCEP
To be fair, considering the level of industrilization and potential political impact, it would not be 100% stupid to stay away from the free trade deals like RCEP. There would be fierce competition between SEA and India on manufacturing if India participated in RCEP.

The only thing India is fiercely competitive in is online trolling/gaslighting/catfishing and maybe internet/telephone fraud, although they couldn’t hold a candle to the sophistication of Taiwanese in the latter.

SEA light manufacturing is actually pretty competitive even against China, especially in recent years as Chinese living standards and wages rose and they moved up the value chain.

India will have as much success competing against SEA in manufacturing today as it did against China in the late 80s and 90s.

Beyond knock-off generic drugs, it’s actually hard to think of anything India manufactures that anyone else actually would want.
