"Free" press doesn't mean accurate, honest, unbiased, no political affiliations, undisturbed by emotions of childish morons.

State sanctioned press doesn't necessarily mean always untrue/inaccurate.

I challenge anyone to find a single piece of Chinese press that has lied about this Ladakh crisis and proven to be so i.e. not just butthurt Jai Hinds saying something is so. Meanwhile we have had over a dozen India government lies proven and Indian media lies proven.

Because the area that Russia conquered are nominally Chinese tribute meaning Tungus tribe men submit themselves as tributary to Qing government. But Qing never formally reign over the area by assigning governor or representative like in Tibet and Xinjiang which by 18th century Qing formally annexed Xinjiang. Though many Dynasties station troops and civilian in Xinjiang but the hold is wake and wane. But only during Qing it was formally annexed
So treaty of Aigun basically clarify the border between China and Russia
Qing did fought the Russia in Ili region and maintained control of amur treaty of Nerchinsk

I don’t know about this little bit from the article... I think the author means, the Chinese soldiers were bewildered while sitting in their heated barracks, why the Indian made such a fuss and then brought their armoured assets into plain view on a hill, so that should shooting starts they will be the first to have the honour of being obliterated by the first artillery salvo... truly an unorthodox manoeuvre

You forgot to add their bewilderment at how the Indians are going to bring them DOWN from the hill after this little display. The story of how a Jawans got crushed by an APC suddenly starts to make sense.

I have to say when I first loaded the page and read the headline... I half expected there to have some form of chest thumping about how this murky water was going to give the Indian armed forces an advantage over the Chinese in the area and that it was also the reason why the Navy special forces would be prefect in the murky environment... I was prepare for a good laugh... however, it is disappointing that I was wrong and it really was just an article about how the Indians screwed the environment, and frankly this cannot be classified as news.

The Chinese flag could be raised over the parliament building in Delhi and Indian media would still be like "our courageous jawans have liberated Tibet and have destroyed tens of thousands of Chinese soldiers." These people are more delusional/brainwashed than North Koreans unfortunately. In a war with China, you can bet India will have thousands of Baghdad Bobs lmao.
