I agree that Indian army/media won't be embarrassed about microwave being used against them unless it happened together with something else that would be embarrassing. Something like losing their footholds on the ridge lines south of Pangong Tso that they made a huge deal about capturing and was basically the only "victory" they've had during this whole conflict.

This is what Professor Jin is claiming, that the PLA was able to retake these points on the ridge lines without firing a shot by using microwave weapons to chase off the Indian soldiers. Are there recent satellite photos of the area south of Pangong Tso? Do we have any confirmation that these points have been retaken by the PLA?

This was embarrassing part, because this was man-to-man hand-to-hand fist fight. But microwave energy is a new weapon and a soldier could feel entitled to groan and moan to the world of a superior advantage the enemy has.

I think India is confused, can't decide its plans. Neither it trusts US (US never been trustworthy to any one, it's history) nor want to break with Russia. And then result will be like this,,,,,, TOO LATE

This is a game that has been going on for decades. Often times, either side (mostly on the Indian side) needed a little publicity lift. They exchange gun/cannon fires. A few chickens are killed. Reporters hoot it up and say they killed so many on the other side and what a great victory it was. Life goes on. Rinse and repeat. Both sides understand this well and play along.

Anyway, let's wait for more corroboration from either side of the microwave weapon.
