I never questioned its existence. Directed energy weaponed have been researched for long. But we need to have more evidences of its use (images) at that theater.
The Ladakh theater has turned from a mere confrontation to physical war. Don't you think the use of such weapons betray the changed nature of war?
It makes more sense to have missiles and drones placed there rather than such soft-kill systems.

Microwave, non-lethal weapons would be ideal for trying to prevent the enemy from squatting on disputed territory without needing to resort of direct physical force to evict them, so it would make sense for the PLA to use such systems.
However, such systems should be easy to spot and identify, as well as be limited in effective range, so if they were operationally deployed, you would expect some photographic evidence.
It seems just as, if not a lot more likely, that the Indian troops were just suffering from altitude sickness and decided to blame it on some mystery Chinese weapon. I mean, they blame China for just about everything else, including locusts, so this would be pretty true to form for them.

Best thing about the whole microwave weapon episode is that the Indians have to deal with a completely unverifiable claim from the Chinese side. Payback for all the dumbass assertions they’ve been spouting all year.

If China had been using microwave, why has the Indian side not been bleating by now?
I don’t believe that China used microwave either. But if history is any indication the Indian side keeps quiet when something extremely embarrassing has happened. Case in point, the clash in may in which they were beaten and tied up. China kept it quiet until some idiot in the IA released video footage of a PLA communications officer getting beaten.

As in that case, I don't think the microwave effect, which was not normal, experienced by their soldiers could be hushed up from their jingoistic media.
You missed my point. I stated that I don't believe that China used microwave either. My point is that if something embarrassing happened to the IA, they tend to keep it under wraps, so that no yapping from the Indian press is not in and of itself proof that microwave wasn't used.

I did not miss your point. I just don't think they felt embarrassed if microwave was used against them. Because they could level new accusations against China.
They could've leveled new accusations against China when they got shoved into icy cold river water but didn't.
