==I've seen an ex PLAAF pilot propose a system of buzzing noise to warn pilots of incoming threats, the surround sound will indicate the direction of the threat, and the volume will indicate the distance, and different sound will indicate the type of threat, so it will give the pilot an illusion that he is listening to the threats.voice display may indicates commonplace voice messages that u find on subways and airports etc, ie hostile missile approaching, radar lock on target and other such relevant warnings.
New AAMs: Revealed by Chinese Internet sources last December and then very early January 2008, the PL-10 (PL-ASR) and a yet to be identified AAM, appear to be derived from A-DARTER and R-DARTER, both developed by the Denel Corporation of South Africa. Source: Chinese Internet

Which brings me to my second question, is active radar better than a infra red seeker system
whoa, a triple rail launcher! i'm VERY impressed. that gives the JH-7A 6 SRAAMs + 2 MRAAMs if the wingtips were loaded. VERY, VERY impressive indeed. they thinking about making the JH-7A a swing-role fighter or something? kinda silly given its thrust-to-weight ratio, but that triple rail launcher is a very pleasant surprise indeed.
what successor are you talking about? The successor to the current generation of fighters should be using internal bomb bay. Let's just say that things like the triple rail launcher aren't hard to develop, but whether you will see them in PLAAF is a different story. This is probably not really meant for the JH-7A but its successor. A lot of current developments are related to this project. The engines are supposed to be upgraded, so probably that's why the TWR is not going to be a problem.

Well, the engine is going to be WS-9 regardless. They might make it lighter and have more internal fuel storage, but that's about all that will happen. The main improvement will be in fire control and the range * payload factor.I'm referring to a more immediate successor to JH-7A (JH-7B?). One with indigenous engines, upgraded fire control and maybe composite construction or small airframe changes.
