Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

lol very funny anyway at least we know that it is a useful weapon. How about selling it to Pakistan to bomb the Talibans !!!

Anyway Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of You.

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

this is something quite interesting actually.
This is from PLA newspaper, talking about a new plane replacing certain south sea aviation regiment.
in a south sea fleet's air base, 10+ new plane comes in. landed after a 1000km+ journey. This new plane has started replacement since May. This regiment has finished breaking down into different du, technology drill, naval low altitude, night low altitude maneuver, Air launched ASM attack, low range strike and such courses. The time for completing the change of plane is 2/3 of usual time, very quickly achieved combat capability.
normally, finishing a regiment change takes over 10 month. In order to speed this old, South Sea aviation planned every exercises and lessons. They used the fact that there are a lot of more experience pilots in this regiment to speed up the training process. The number of flying days per week increased from 3 to 4. Used improved hanger to reduce the preparation time? improved the number of flights and training difficulties. In training, they stressed penetration in low altitude, night time and weapon usage, reduced repeating useless flying maneuvers, improved training efficiency.
This plane provides high level automation and information, navigation and handle also are very advanced,....

Anyhow, apparently, this is the 27th regiment in South Sea fleet aviation according to the poster.
Never mind: checked the orbat on planaf and found out this is the one south sea aviation regiment that got equipped with JH-7A. I got excited for nothing.

this pic is very intresting, it shows so many JH-7 planes are training to attack the land defence base,I think this is against training between PLAAF and PLA land airforce.

Those look like flankers to me. Also note that Type-90 isn't AHEAD capable, or the wires are too small to see...

this pic is attchment as military news report in chinese internet today, it says JH-7 in training to attack airdefence base.
the planes are too small, hard to find out they are flankers or JH-7,but I rather think they are JH-7, I think the head portion of the planes should be larger if they are flankers.

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

Oh that is what I saw. Thanks for the pics. A week ago I saw one of these planes JH-7A. Flying above me. It was really cool and exciting. It was going really slow and you couldn't tell that it was coming until it was right above you. Also another cool thing is that it was hard to find it in the sky "no smoke trail". It made maybe 10 passes flying really low.

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

apparently, this is an article out of Feb 23rd of PLA daily
basically, saying that China has long distance low altitude penetration capability. It's talking about JH-7A in the SSF I think. Saying that it flies at 30 m above sea level and is hard to detect by opposing radar. Just talk about idfferent tactics used against heavy ECM environment, weather change, bad visibility, maximum combat radius missions and such.

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

I know this isn't the post to insert this comment in but meh. As the previous post stated that it flies underneath enemy radar, is it stipulating it flying its on radar of a penetration level of 30m or typical neigbouring radars of 30m. Very interesting detail to spot out though. I know is not invisble but its hard to be tracked. Im getting the impression that it used is radar search level penetration for a comparison of enemy radar level of penetration in which the JH-7A achieved. Logical and Factual information would be good for suggestion and comments.

Re: JH-7/JH-7A Thread

Of course flying low doesn't make a plane invisible. What it does is reduce the effective range of radars trying to see it and adds more ground clutter for the radars to deal with.
