JH-7/JH-7A/JH-7B Thread

Xiabonan...those two pictures are the same aircraft. Someone mirror imaged it, zoomed in a bit, and added the number.

The background, the workers, vehicles, etc., etc.

Now it calls into question the entire contention that it is a JH-7B at all.

It is real. I'll post more pictures once they are out.

The JH-7B may be real, but the second picture you posted is not.

Check the positions of the people standing there, the truck, the background poles. They are all in the same place. That is a mirror image of the first, shopped with the number and some extra details and zoomed in.

The first picture is real, but we don't know if that is JH-7B or just an older JH-7A. Either way, the second picture is obviously doctored.

I am expecting JH-7B to be powered by improved WS-9A/B, DSI, high content of composite, a bit stealthier and significantly more modern avionic

Think it only calls into question the contention whether the 2nd pic is real or not. Not really a contention actually, it's obviously a PS of the 1st pic, which seems real. We'll need more pics to be certain, but that was always the case.

I think what you see is what you're gonna get. No DSI, maybe an improved WS-9, likely more composites, almost certainly more modern avionics capable of firing the newer missiles, and no stealthier shaping.

Yes I'm referring to the JH7B. Not the second pic.

Why dont they used J-16 to do the job of launching YJ-12? Or JH-7B is supposed to be a cheaper platform to do the bomb truck/missile carrier job?

I heard that this is primarily for the PLANAF. The PLAAF uses the more ex&capable J16.

Or course the PLAAF might change their minds later on, just like they did with the original JH7
