Some special mission Y-8 plane was flying in the sky.
Musharaaf and defense minister Cao GangChuan met and will come to Chengdu tonight (I guess they should be there by now). They will show some of CAC's hardware tomorrow I guess (or tonight in North American time).
The following is suppose to be some of the stuff learnt from an interview with one of China's radar development people:

１．２００５年３０５雷达获得国家科技一等奖，采用的算法和达到的水平在国际上处于领先地位．去年西亚某国已出资一亿多美刀购买多部．
- In 2005, the 305 radar did really well. It's processing methethod is already in the world leading position. Last year, a West Asian country paid over 100 million dollars American for many units of this.
２．某鱼已抵蓉，明日为巴国弟兄表演，兼推销．
Some fish (I'm thinking they are talking about some type of special mission aircraft, possibly AWACS) is already here, will show to Pakistan tomorrow and given a sales pitch
３．我国某型ＳＡＲ雷达分辨率已经达到０．１米级．
The Synthetic Aperture radar is already accurate to 0.1m level
４．犹太国哈比结构很简单，天朝在当初购买之时已经可以设计并制造，但是由于体制的原因只能购买，但现在已经实现自行升级．
Harpy by Israel's structure is fairly simple. When it was first bought, 天朝 could already design it? But now it can be upgraded by 天朝. (later on, reading the other article where this summary came from, it seems like this is talking about Phalcon rather than Harpy. Basically saying that KJ-2000 is more advanced than the Phalcon package in 2000).
５．根据国家需要，同时上大鱼和平衡木，未来还有更多的鱼会出现，形成一个系列，从天到海．
Due to the requirement of China, the balance beam and the large dish AWACS both came out. In the future, there will be more dished type of AWACS? It will become an AWACS series. (I'm guessing Y-7, Y-12 and Y-8 round dome type?)
６．大鱼在目前是非常先进的，算法上没的说，器件是采用目前所能找到的最好的器件．
The KJ-2000 AWACS is very advanced. The processing side is not mentionnable, but the equipment used are the best hardware that China can find right now.
７．被动式雷达已经出现产品，于２００３年实现．
Passive type of radar products are already out, it was ready by 2003. I'm not sure what kind of passive radar they are talking about here.
８．类于美国＂寂静哨兵＂和英国的＂ＣＥＬＬＤＡＲ＂雷达在研制中．

１．军方对反隐身十分重视，现阶段主要手段是米波雷达和被动式雷达
The army is very focused on anti-stealth. Currently, the main methods use JY-27 radar and passive radar
２．只要国外对我们进行禁运的东西，基本上都能很快自造．
The stuff that other country put an embargoe on China, most of them can be produced domestically fairly fast.
３．大功率器件和高速器件还是很弱．
high speed hardware and high efficiency processing hardware are still very weak.

More about 132, apparently, there are a lot of different types of planes in the 132 airport. Some round dome type of AWACS quickly stopped a few KM away? This type is more manuverably than a lot of people expected. According to another news report, there will be discussion about a type of fighter on the 23rd on sales pitch and such. Possibly on display today if weather permitting.
