Nothing special about the topic, it said that JF-17 could be comparable with F16, and on the last part of this article there are something about Pakistan president had said that he thought JF17 is as good as the pakistan F16.

did china find a repacement for the Russian RD-93 engine yet . how are they going to export the plane to pakistan with out engine ? does china have a equilvent of the RD-93

China is developing the WS-13, which is suppose to be an improvement on the RD-93, but WS-13 is not going to be coming out soon. I doubt there are problems for Chinese to export JF17, at least the pakistan government is quick confidence that they are going to get their planes next year.

Have any countries ordered the FC-1 yet? A Pakistani official said they have recieved orders.

He was talking about export oders although Western aviation experts don't believe him.

Bangladesh asked for 12 JF-17s from Pakistan. But no order has taken place officialy. I guess Pakistan and China would put hold on export till 2009 untill they inducted 16 FC-1/JF-17s, 8-8 respectively.

Is it a confirmed news (any sources??) or just something that was said on a forum?

bangladesh just ordered/received some F-7Gs from China. I do see FC-1 flying in bangladesh airforce but it might take few years.

Its not confirmed in a sense that no official discussion over the issue has taken place. The BD Defence Sctry just said to PM that they were interested in jf-17 and various sources (experts and officials) in Pakistan say they were interested in 12 early models. Since this was not revealed in a press conference by GOP or GOB, it did not make it in the newspapers. Howeverm it is well known thing around here that BD is interested in 12 jf-17s at this moment.

For BAF, an F-7 is like F-16. They call it poor people's F-16. I also see them with JF-17. It serves Pakistani and Chinese strategic interests as well.

Can you show me any evidence? If what your mentioned is true, then how can Chinese do business to their Pakistan partner in a long period?
In fact, I believe the big customs now China can export industry installations to are from Asia, such as Indonesia, India, Pakistan, etc, where religion factors plays so important influence on business that China is always careful to the point of you mentioned.
