Above are the patterns being used to elaborate designated blocks followed with serial numbers of that block, but this is 5P or SP makes no sense.

we never saw '1P' but 'SP'

The Iraqi F16s would need an upgrade as the USA sold gimped versions to Iraq with degraded capabilities.. those upgrades will probably cost more than a new JF17C ... so they make little sense for PAF now ...

This idea was adopted in the past for emergency war time situations in case if dedicated runways are destroyed, aircraft can use the national highways for takeoff/landing, rearmament, and refuelling.

My personal take on it ... China told the junta to not use JF-17 against the insurgents. This pissed the junta and they made stories about reliability issue .

As per Yankee he had reliable source stating that JF-17 for Iraq were already produced when the deal was called off due to interference with budgeting.
