Fighter aircraft is different from drones/armored vehicles/small arms though. I think if the US really wanted they could kill the JF-17 deal with Iraq just like they did with the Argentina deal.
I personally suspect the Yanks want them JF-17 for themselves ... for false flag Ops perhaps .JF17 deal is also a barter, 16 JF17s (yet to confirm which BLK) for 12 F16s (BLK52).
