PAKISTAN RAISES SECOND SQUADRON OF JF-17 BLOCK III FIGHTER JETS
The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex JF-17 Thunder Block-3, a state-of-the-art multirole 4.5/4+ generation fighter squadron, will be raised by the Pakistan Air Force and stationed in Karachi. This would be accomplished by reintroducing the number-plated and retired No. 8 "Haiders" Squadron into service. The upcoming months will witness the completion of the delivery, full induction, and operationalization of the twelve and a half Block III units, culminating in the raising of the main JF-17C Block III multirole squadron in the PAF's Southern Air Command, situated at PAF Base Masroor, Karachi.
Earlier, the No. 8 ‘Haiders’ Squadron had been tasked with (initially) maritime strike and later tactical attack missions in the Dassault Mirage VPA2/3 strike aircraft since 1983.
In January 2023, the No. 8 Squadron received a new number plate as the Pakistan Air Force is gradually retiring hundreds of Mirage III and V aircraft across multiple squadrons. These will be replaced with JF-17C and J-10C, which are a high-performance combination of fourth-generation plus fourth-and fifth-generation advanced fighter aircraft.
Although confirmation has not been obtained, there are unfounded rumours circulating that this sqdn (2nd batch of block-III) is powered by a WS-13E engine.
Sorry to be that clear (and it is not meant against you in person) but IMO this is the same BS constantly spread by some Pakistani fan-boys like "A new photo of the Chinese J-31 fighter jet taken during a test flight has appeared" or "A prototype of J-31 (version of J-35) stealth fighter jet soaring somewhere over China" ... most often connected with "brother; I tell you!"
and it is in fact nothing but this old image:

Your post lacks logic as I explicitly said that "confirmation has not been obtained". Where did I made a claim??
Second, you brought up similar concerns regarding L-15B as well, but these were later disproven by a PAF marketing poster.
Again, this maybe rude comment was in no way meant against you, but if you look how such news are spread in the social media it is IMO unwise to post such claims that way, since most readers do not care about this important sentence!
Regardless of your point of view, you can't refute or reject someone's posts with insulting/rude remarks like "fan boy claims or plain stupidity." While you proved yourself wrong on several instances.
Please calm down and read again my post: the claim I referred to as being stupid BS posted by fan boys is the one posting an old image of 31003 and claiming it would be a new J-31 for Pakistan. And in fact posting the WS-13 would be in use as a fact is indeed a bit on the „vague“ side since we haven’t heard anything from the Chinese side on this engine since years.
My point is, if you look at the Pakistani social media scene there are indeed too many fans out posting any random claim as a fact.
And concerning your - admittedly in this case correct - comment „While you proved yourself wrong on several instances“ I prefer to be on the careful side until proven and my credit so far is not that bad.
