personally i think Pakistan should stick to Chinese systems for JF17, simply because fitting Western systems will only be a short term solution until more advanced Chinese systems are developed from the likes of the J10 and J20

JF17 has 5 main developments coming
addition of air-to-air refueling
integration of infrared search and scan (IRST)
testing of C802 anti-ship missile
BVR SD10 missile
extended LS-6 range glide bomb with range of 60km
