An F-35B Lightning II aircraft, flown by a test pilot from Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Two Three (VX-23), approaches Japan’s Izumo-class multi-functional destroyer JS Kaga (DDH-184) prior to landing on the ship for the first time Oct. 20, 2024, off the southern coast of California. The short takeoff and vertical landing variant of the 5th generation aircraft and an integrated test team are aboard the ship to conduct developmental test to certify modifications to the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force’s largest vessel. Data that testers gather during these sea trials will be analyzed and eventually inform decisions to enhance the capabilities of the Maritime Self-Defense Force as well as contribute to improved interoperability between Japan and the U.S. Japan is an F-35 Joint Program Office foreign military sales customer planning to buy 42 F-35Bs. Coincidentally, there is a very outdated article here.

In fact, the news published on the morning of December 27th was not so "outdated", but another incident that happened on the same day(you know) made this article a joke.
However, this foolish article has had a slight impact in China. So I chose to share this article.
The title is quite provocative: The carrier based modification of the Kaga by the JMDSF has been successful, and China is afraid of the "unstoppable evolution" of Japanese self-defense ships
The article is quite boring and suspected of fraud, with very little mention of China. There is only one illogical statement: China, which boasts so much, remains silent on the renovation of the aircraft carrier "Kaga", which is a manifestation of anxiety. With the conversion of the Kaga into an aircraft carrier, Japan has something that China does not have. Then he loudly praised the "magic" of the F-35B, proclaiming that Chinese radar could not detect it.

The rest of the content is just some word count nonsense, roughly reviewing the development history of the JMSDF light aircraft carrier and its prospects for the future, while boasting that Japan is one of the few countries with aircraft carrier combat experience.

Thinking of the great achievements of December 26th and 27th, you will feel the ugliness and boredom of these roaring clowns.

I looked at the comments section, but it wasn't very interesting. Most comments believe that the author is an outdated person and that the performance of this light aircraft carrier is very limited. And mocked him for using many dialect words.
But at the same time, the comment section also showed a strong intention of confrontation. They demand to amend the constitution and replace the leadership that is too 'weak',And strengthen military preparedness to resist possible 'aggression'.
Obviously, they have considerable confidence in Japan's strength, so I wish they could bear the cost of raising the consumption tax.

Actually ROFLed at this.

That sounds more like China's reaction to THAAD deployment in South Korea in 2017 versus 2022. Back then it was like "How could you do this to me!", but now it was like "Meh, whatever".

Don't they have their advanced AAM-4 missiles, what happened lol.

can't produce enough perhaps. as there are over 300 fighters in Japan's airforce. Including the 5th gen F-35 which i'm afraid US not really want to allow local Japanese weapon integration in it.
