honestly PFX will probably end up being Pakistan purchasing J35 off the shelve

Not trying to get off topic in the "JF-17/FC-1 Fighter Aircraft thread," hence replying to you here as it seems more appropriate.

Is your prediction that Pakistan's PFX program will converge, if not effectively merge with the PAF's acquisition of the J-35 based on a hunch, or is it based on ongoing discussions occuring within or messaging from Pakistan's defense establishment and/or aviation industry?

Not too familiar with Pakistan or its MIC, so would like to learn more about how the J-35 is perceived out there.

To be frank, your prediction is plausible, as the PFX
program is fairly ambitious for Pakistan's MIC, and may not represent the "path of least resistance."

However, also a little surprised that you expect Pakistan to purchase the J-35 off the shelf. Is local assembly out of the question or otherwise unlikely?

During the interview, SAC Chief Designer Wang recalled a book titled

which inspired him during his time as a student at BUAA.

He then shared photos of six different aircraft designs documented by said book, which he characterized as "innovative," and claimed that many of them ultimately became "realities." However, none of these designs ever entered serial production, with the very arguable exception being the little known Edgley EA-7 Optica with 22 airframes supposedly built, 10 of which were reportedly lost to arson.

Not sure if Chief Designer Wang was humoring us, or if he was hinting to something, or if the CCTV production team simply presented the wrong slide, or if something else occurred?

Almost wondering if he's implying that SAC is working on manned and/or unmanned systems resembling one or more of the "innovative" designs he shared from "Fantastic Flying Machines" . . .
I don't think it makes any sense. This program is a youth program twice a year that provides science education, sharing and motivation to primary and secondary school students at the beginning of the school year - it is more likely that the PPT is not even written by the speaker himself.
