WS-15 first single engine flight has taken in Summer 2021. AECC confirmed small scale production in March 2023.. so basically engine took only 2 years to enter in LRIP stage .. just need to secure alloy supply chain before mass production.. i would say 2025 will be year of WS-15 full scale production..

WS-19 first flight confirmed. so if we follow WS-15 footsteps, then 2025 is year engine might enter in small scale production. if everything goes well. means testing
Full scale production? what does it mean? how many WS-15s will be produced during full scale production ?
Is it possible that WS-15 engine be produced by multiple companies in China ?

What is the bottleneck of producing WS-15 ? my educated guess is the turbine blades. Can the turbine blades produce by multiple suppliers in China ?

low rate initial production has begun. confirmed by AECC back in March this year. and recently we have seen J-20A powered by two WS-15 engines for the first time. it means production gradually increasing. this is how critical machines scale up the production.

WS-15 design by Shenyang Liming Engine institute and produced by Xian Aero engine in collaboration with Liming. these two major companies involved along with multiple suppliers across China..

there is no bottleneck. they just need to adjust supply chain. WS-20 production begun too. WS-10 is already under full production. WS-19 coming too. enormous pressure on supply chain.

and for Turbine blades, they have multiple domestic suppliers, in which two are private players. one is in Chengdu. that Chengdu based company is highly competent and advanced. they are the first private company to master the single crystal alloy technology in mainland. one is in Wuxi. that Wuxi based company is very important player in turbine engine supply chain..

they always cry..

these Western shills are so shameless they really have no idea about China. they continue to peddle this narrative ''considerably behind the U.S. and Japan in ultra-strong aviation steel''. LMAO

Qingtuo Cold Rolling Technology successfully rolled 0.015 mm ultra-thin hand-shredded steel using localized equipment. This is currently the thinnest stainless steel in the world and a major breakthrough in process technology..

China also broke T1000 carbon fiber Monopoly of USA/Japan ..

AECC indeed talk about supply chain. WS-20/WS-15 and other engines about to enter in serial production. so there is enormous demand of material and components. supply chain of all these engines are interconnected .. its normal

The true capabilities are only known by the military, but the more it is underestimated the better. Japan enjoyed enormous success to start WWII, in no small part because Japanese capabilities were hugely underestimated by other nations. Which is not to say Japanese mistakes shouldn't also be studied, of course.

It is very likely that WS-19 took its maiden flight on an unknown aircraft today. Not clear on J-35 or dual engines yet. Rumor only.

On whether it's dual engines or not, @齐天的孙猴子 seems to be hinting it's indeed dual WS-19.

The English subtitle in that video is totally rubbish, it doesn't translate what the speaker actually said.
I thought Nick being from mainland could translate it correctly But its not the correct translation
Hence deleted

Also, by the time the J-35 is adopted into service, with all the bells and whistles like WS-19 and potentially 2D TVC, would it good enough to be qualified as a 5.5 gen stealth fighter?

Besides what qualifies as a 5.5 gen anyways?
