Also, by the time the J-35 is adopted into service, with all the bells and whistles like WS-19 and potentially 2D TVC, would it good enough to be qualified as a 5.5 gen stealth fighter?

Besides what qualifies as a 5.5 gen anyways?

tvc is already found on the f-22. I would put something like the j-20 dual seat would be possible qualifier as 5.5 if it is a battlefield/drone commander

Well, TVC is just an example. Also considering the rumored upgraded 360° EODAS/IRST and possibly more advanced radar and avionics, etc.

Also aren't there drawings of a twin-seater J-35? Or is it not even an actual thing?

The number of 5th gens is so small that I don't think 5.5 is really a meaningful distinction. More capable 5th gen just means the gap is bigger compared to older fighters. 4.5 vs 4th gen draws a clear line because you've got so many more of them flying around.

Any chance of it being in actual development?
Unlikely right now, automation have eliminated most of the need for a 2nd person for fighter aircraft .
Back in the F14 and F4 days , the WISO job mainly was to operate the radar , then when F16 and F18 came along WISO job changed to EW and ground attack .
Both of these task now can be done with computers so that no 5th gen fighter so far has a 2 seat variant.
Now there is a 2 seat version in development for J20 but that WISO's job is to operate unmanned platform that will be integrated slowly in the coming decade, for naval aviation that prospect is still being examined.
The thing is that naval aviation and ground aviation have very different operation environment and needs , and the role of unmanned platform need to fill or can fill is yet to be clear. So we should not assume that just because J20 is playing around with a 2nd seat J35 need to.
