5. The weapon bays of the F-35 and J-35 are almost identical in length and are both larger than the F-22 weapon bay.

Saw one particular mention that the J-35's weapons bay is also largely similar in size as the J-20's weapons bay.

Assuming that the weapons bay depth is also similar for both the J-20 and J-35, then that means the J-35 can also carry 4x PL-15s inside its weapons bay (which could be upgraded to 6x if the PL-15's fins can be made foldable).

Another thing to note, though - While the weapons bay of the F-35 and J-35 has almost similar length - The F-35's weapons bay has been divided into two smaller halves on each side of the fuselage, while the J-35 has a singular large one.

It literally doesn't make any sense to make the bay different (other than larger, but that doesn't make too much sense either - b/c standardization). PLANAF doesn't have its own unique aircraft weapons line to even bother. Furthermore, given their position - i doubt the bay has any reason to differ in any case.
Same bay and same choice of munitions, developed for new standard size requirements. Maximum convenience.

F-35 bay isn't in smaller halves, they're different in shape when compared to rectangular bays of other fighters. Somewhat shorter, but also significantly deeper. They were built around standard 2000 lb as a requirement, after all.

They do appear similar in length but the J-20 bay is wider. Also notice I dont inclued the serrated region in the length of the bay. The F-35 bay is complex where one weapon is mounted to the door and one to the ceiling of the bay, I guess to be able to fit more. I do remember running into an article a while back mentioning the bay of the FC-31 was going to be redesigned to fit a PL-21 or something like that, so maybe this isn't the final bay design, or maybe its misdirection.

In the photo (left to right):
J-20= 4.47m x 1.292m
FC-31= 4.465m x 1.061m
F-35C= 4.14m x 0.986m
F-22= 3.91m x 1.185m

In fact I don't know any clear image showing the real J-35 clear enough in a comparable position, to make such a comparison.
This is the best I have ...

That tail looks massive, but the wing looks so similar. Once a better angle comes out, I'll redo the measurements.

There is no need to play the "personal credential" card to scare others. Many of us here have strong technical background but we choose not to brag about. I myself studied digital image processing in my school years, and decades of experience working with image processing as a hobby phtographer. I wrote softwares to handle images as a hobby. I know what kind of information and details one can extract from what kind of image file. Your conclusion was far more than wrong. That is why you got the "harsh" response.

Just remind you how rediculous you were, you mentioned rivets (either seeing or not seeing), object that is smaller than 10mm from an image file less than 1MB in size taken from hundreds meters away. That is physically and humanly impossible.

It would be smarter to remain silent than fighting back.

What do you make of this? ... a fact, a rumour or just an unsubstantiated claim?

Per my count I would say we know three J-35s confirmed (no. 350001, 350003 and a green one from August).
And even if I think more prototypes are likely, I haven't heard anything which bakes this claim.

Actually it was a question/guess rather than a claim. The English translation is not accurate.

35的新飞机不止6架了吧 = New aircraft for 35 not just 6? or better translate as "Shouldn't there be not less than 6 new J35?". The words 不止__了把normally indicate that this is a question or a guess.
