I don’t really understand why China is looking to export the J-35 already. Don’t they need to produce enough for their own fleet before considering exporting it?

However, this part of the article to be the only interesting thing beside exports.

Interesting word choice of “technically mature.” I wonder how much longer until it gets pressed into service.
Actually this is not the correct thread for this post . This thread is for the naval version which I doubt is going to be exported .

Correction!!

According to this @CASI_Research report, there are now already two J-35 mock-ups (?) on the PLAN carrier test and training base at Huangdicun ... and NOT at Wuhan, as I tweeted before. Sorry for that stupid mistake.

The second image is from 28. December 2021

Looks not like the concrete carrier testing facility at Wuhan. Looks like an other facility, may be an air base runway or apron prepared with flightdeck markings.

According to this post, there are now already two FC-31s or more likely J-35 mock-ups on the Chinese concrete carrier testing facility at Wuhan.

As I wrote on Twitter, this is at Huangdicun which is the carrier test and training base (the one with the ski jumps, arresting gear, and catapults on site), as specified by the CASI document... not the Wuhan concrete carrier.

The folding wings means it can only be J-XY/J-35, not FC-31.
And next to it are two J-15s.

J-XYs/J-35s and J-15s at Huangdicun are of course entirely expected given it's a carrier test/training base and a naval air station overall.

The question is whether those are real aircraft or simply elaborate mockups with folding wings... at the moment I think the possibility of them (all four aircraft in the picture) being real is certainly not low, in fact it might even be high.
