Interesting news here. Deputy Chief Designer of FC-31, metal 3D printing expert Wang Xiangming has been awarded Membership of Chinese Academy of Engineering. This was said about his contribution:

上述研究解决了增材主承力结构创新设计难题,成效显著,零件数量减少2/3、结构减重1/5、疲劳寿命增加1/3
The above research solved the new problem of additive manufacturing of main structural elements, the results were impressive: a 2/3 decrease in number of parts, 1/5 decrease in weight and 1/3 increase in fatigue life.

that is one enormous hump for a single seater. the highest point is actually behind the canopy. it looks almost as if the contour is that of a tandem two seater, and they fared in the rear canopy transparency.

This would make J-35 a scary opponent in that it will be much more serviceable compared to any other 4th gen fighters.

A blunt copy of F35. Down right ugly!
If China has the ability to just copy American designs and making it work then you should be very worried.

That being said, there's no such BS as "copy right infringement" in the arms industry, whatever works is used. If you are trying to downplay a weapon just because it doesn't fit your aesthetics, then there are a lot of trash forums out there, this is not your place to be.

no, no, no ;)
This Forum welcomes opposing opinions and ideas, as long as discussions are done in a civilized manner and based on facts, of course.
China is simply progressing too fast at an unbelievable pace on all technological fronts, and so skepticism and accusation of copying and infringement of intellectual properties by western people are understandable. We should be mature enough to be patient, and calm to answer back with facts and sound analysis. I always admire the calm and composed manner with which Blitzo answers sharp questions from dissenting members.
I have been following this Forum for 15 to 20 years, and I myself find it hard to believe all the incredible progress China has made in her stride.
When 052C and J10A came out, our jaws dropped.
When J20, J10C, J16 and 055 appeared, our eyes popped. And now J35 is coming out in the open...
Then Beidou and Space Station and Mars exploration successfully accomplished.
Man, the past 10 years have been just so incredulous. it is a wonderful feeling.:D
