Why will the sortie rate be higher?

Also, it has a bit smaller overall deck footprint, but it's not that much smaller than a flanker that many more would fit.

Inside the hangar there might be space used a bit more effectively. When placed around the edges of the deck in a single row, however, it might take up even a little bit more space than j15.

I sort of get the jump from j-teens to j-20 , designation wise.
But for the love of me, I don't understand the jump from j-20 to j-35. Even j-30 would be slightly more logical. (Though still a waste, not using so many numbers in between)

What is next? To have the next new design be j-50? If they're skipping 15 numbers again.

If only politics and bad marketing weren't in charge of something so basic as model designations..

Probably to keep up with Russia and America's model designations
