WOW, just WOW

It is a BIG bird. I estimate its size at a min of 22 meters.

Probably not 22 meters. Zaky over on key forums did a size comparison, giving the size as 18.92 meters before it was revised to about 20.5 m.
imho the real size shouldn't be less than 21m

(Also, remember chinese people are kinda short so it may make the plane look a bit bigger)

Turn on CNN if you have the American feed. They've been showing blirps about the J-20 but not sure if there's a more extensive story coming soon.

The yellow area to the right of the cockpit isn't there. There are def. at least 2 2001 prototypes.

Look at the number of military enthusiasts in the background.

They just showed a more extensive story on the J-20 on CNN. It was what was expected. A little manipulation when they used information from Gates' comments on numbers estimates but ommitting the time table he's being criticized for being wrong with the early appearance of the J-20 from what he estimated. They also used Richard Fisher as their expert.

Of course it uses improved ws10 engines. The nozzles of the J-20 are very different. The engines are probably only improved in IR signature.

Not sure if people still remember this picture -- it was one of the most circulated configurations of the J-XX a few years back...

It's surprisingly accurate, from the single piece canopy, to the DSI and location of the canards, the relative length, and even the LERX and blending of fuselage/wigns. Maybe when similar drawings and CGs start coming out for the Chinese 5th/6th generation fighter people won't be so quick to dismiss them :D

Even the sawtooth covering of the engines!
