I'd second that notion...There's a reason there are 2 prototypes IMHO.

The 2001's nozzles suggest the AL-31 which is clearly not the asymmetrical one discussed above.

While nothing new revealed nor admitting the existence of J-20, they didn't deny it either, and said it's a necessary not a luxury item for the PLAAF in the future.
Also, one of the commentators stated that, as with the shipbuilding sectors, China's financial institutes have been actively pumping funds into hi-tech sectors over the years, and with new bloods joining the industry in bulk growth and results are justifiable.
As to "the way the West stir the news", they commented:
-those who said it's merely inferior version of F-22, that's just typical beat-down
-those who said it'd challenge F-22's dominance, and in turn US's dominance, that's just the usual tone of demonizing China by the West.

The guys at Chengdu says todahy several main roads in Chengdu are closed, and there are many guards around the roads to CAC's airport. Also, in last night, near CAC the weather army shot hundreds shells to the sky to ensure today is a sunny day.
And most importantly, Air China's 4019 plane (which is the plane for CCP bosses) has arrived at Chengdu CAC's airport today, meanwhile the Airforce's 001 plane (which is the plane for the commander in chief of PLAAF) has arrived at CAC's airport yesterday.
So all suggesting something big will happen today, lets behold the historical moment.

Dude, "big" is an understatement if that kind of cadre of head honchos shows up at Chengdu.
If that's the case, we can expect first flight within the next 3 days.

There's a reason why we're getting these videos now. I'm pretty sure they haven't been doing taxi trials for the last two weeks, but that we're getting video that's finally permitted to be released after the CCTV program. They're very smart with their media strategies, and this is obviously one of them to control information and generate hype for first flight.
