The whole Airforce "718 project",
as far as I can gather,
includes, Vehicle, Engine, Weapons and Sensors.

The Chief Equipment Dept Head of Airforce project wouldn't be there for the banquet if it is only a test bed for a engine.

Very good findings.

But you do realize the term 验证机 is a words-play of the "sum" of each individual subsystem (which means the vehicle, engine, the weapons... were not necessary to "put together" at one time) right?

Anyway, it's just we are all tring to beat the ney-sayer's ass of their way of interpret of J-20 being a "tech domo"

Hmm .. it's already an older photo; as far as I know from the third flight - I actually saved it on 13. June - but anyway a nice one ! ... would like to see it in full-size. ;)

That isn't to say he doesn't have his own motivations ("F-35, superbug sucks, need moar F-22, J-20+T-50 will kill USAF, rawr"), even if what some of his statements are true.

but I think his statement that there will be a vast disparity in numbers of 5th generation fighters FOR CHINA is a bit ridiculous. The F-35, despite everything is still 5th gen and by the 2020-2025 period china will not be able to produce 500 J-20s. We're not even sure if PLAAF will acquire that many over its entire run.

Looks like he is going back to scaremongering tactics. What I found interesting was how he started actively berating people with different views.

Like I said before he is probably cracking under the pressure he is getting on aviation week.

I think it's kind of interesting that he's finally "retaliating". And I also think it is a bit unfair to call it all scaremongering, I mean some of his replies to the articles on J-20 are pretty good and the APA website in general isn't half bad.
