It's really scary when less than a page back, someone posted that up already and we've already confirmed it's PS. And dude, it even LOOKS PSed. I mentioned I'll stab myself with a pencil; maybe I should bring one to challenge instead.

Ok guys,.. I just found this video of the J-20 opening it's bay doors while on the ground. Go to about 1:30 of the video...naturally mpleio at mp.net posted this..looks real to me.. go ahead and dissect it.

A remark on a different door: the main landing gear door looks as if it comes from a magnesium foundry, in which case it is not only stiff and light but probably also not very expensive. I wonder if the Chinese have published something interesting on magnesium alloys?

The weapons bays seem to take an age to open. Fair enough that this is the prototype, but I would expect them to be a hell of a lot more snappy on the production model.

The main weapons bay doors also don't seem to fold like the F22's. While this would cut down on complexity and save on weight, it would also increase drag. Hopefully this would also be modified from the production version.

That came across my mind too a while back. I've seen a video of the F-22 opening its bay while flying and it was quick. Can't a technician opened it from the outside, would they make the door open that quick for maintenance or weapons loading?

Just look at the snappy and quick moves of all the control surfaces! I wouldn't even think that that is how it will open in the air. It's got to be a dual or multi-speed machanism there: It opens slow while on the ground to avoid damage to itself or injury to people.
