Future warfare isn't going to be wholly dominated by missiles for one simple reason. Missiles are one way. Every time you fire a missile, you waste a rocket engine or a turbojet.

You can look at China's moves into the drone market as an example of what's eventually going to happen. Drones are going to be the weapon employed in the future for these types of bombing runs; you don't have to include a pilot pod so that the controller can be on deck, and you no longer have a human body whose sustained G-load cannot exceed 9G.

So you essentially have cost and performance advantages over manned aircraft, and reusability advantages over missiles.

I'd use the Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie as an example.

It is a reusable cruise missile, which can carry at 250kg payload of missiles.

I have no doubt J-20B is fitted with WS-10 G engines, some report in china already reporting this , Minnie Chan of SCMP misreported this as WS-10B which is way below the trust required it to be the original specs intended for J-20. with close to 16K max thrust has met it goal.

These engine stats are from Wikipedia. The most likely engine that is coming to the J-20B is the 14.5 tonne variant (i.e. IPE) with TVC.

We've been zoned.

It is a lot more accurate than what Minnie Chan wrote.

Someone from Warzone might be browsing Sino Defence. I don’t recall anyone else quoting the 6 J-20 TVC figure since I linked the original source from CJDBY here. I haven’t seen this gaining traction even in Chinese news, let alone western outlet.

Yeah I do give the war zone that credit at least lol

No really. I think some of their reporting are quite good. Tyler Rogoway's piece on Dingxin is really well researched in my humble opinion. They don't just pull stuff out from their behind like David Axe or Minnie.

Seems to be based on Minnie's story - citing the numerous "reports" that sprung from her story - but dropping the weird bit about the AL-31.
