a couple of things I would say.
@Deino I think it's for the best if you don't mention particular person when you are tweeting going forward. People in China can guessing where the info comes from Besides, our actual source is you know who

@Temstar I saw several people complain on weibo afterward that shilao never said production was in 3 digits. I'd have to listen over this week's video, but please be careful in repeating what was said. If they didn't explicitly say J-20 production was in 3 digits, don't say it as such

Thanks for the advice

I am a little confused here. Supposedly this will be one of J-20 on Changchun Airshow for display, photo taken when they were training for the show.

Serial No. 61025, from 1st Brigade. However the comment section said that this specific aircraft is fresh out of production line, to my understanding, CMA has photo record of 61120 for quite a well, how is 61025 supposed to be newly built?

Perhaps @Deino could help. If this specific J-20 indeed has a fresh production date, it will give a clear idea on how far they are really going on in CAC factory instead of rumors.

Thank you nonetheless because I got to watch that mini-movie which was pretty cool to see but I am hoping not to witness in real life ever.

Thank you. I have uploaded the links for the first and second episodes of the microfilm series to the Movies in General thread. And I am glad to share these excellent works with you all.

Well, I don't think 61025 is a factory-fresh one since we have seen several ones in January '22 already (per my list up to no. 21125 aka no. 15). As such I would be most surprised if no. 05 would be off the sequence a very new one. All so far identified J-20s at Anshan are Batch 02 aircarft or had CB025x numbers.

If it would be indeed a recent one I expect at least a Batch 07 higher than CB07156 or Batch 08 or even 09.

It is indeed very confusing! But many blogger claimed that this very "61025" aircraft was delivered in a matter of days, meaning it could be batch 10 or even 11 & 12.

Well, we only have to wait for a weekend to see its batch number on Airshow. My theory, if true, could be that they re-paint the serial number with a new plane and the old one was sent for maintenance and rotate to someone else.

Update: @萌虎鲸 also said, "F**k, this is a new plane that was just delivered a couple days ago."

艹,这是几天前刚刚交付的新机啊!!

Is it possible to deduce/guesstimate the rough number of J-20s built and/or handed over to the PLAAF by now, based on the recent information?

Pardon if I don't understand your question correctly, but what "recent information"? The rumours concerning the up to triple-digit production rate or this image?

In fact my feeling tells me - especially since it is from Cute Orca - they just want to tease and test how long it takes until that strange German Minion-Man re-posts this! ;) :D
