bro sorry ..

this is the worst article i have seen in recent times. so much copium

'The engine’s reliability, MTBF and other parameters are most likely inferior to any western design, but unless exports to the PRC of some of the world’s most sophisticated, 5-axis and 7-axis machine tools are curtailed those shortcomings will also disappear over time.'

seriously ?

i just don't want to use hard words but this clown still think China beg for 5 axis machine.

Chinese military industrial complex extensively using domestically made machine tools include most advance five axis machine design and manufactured by KEDE . replaced all western machines.

KEDE 5 axis Continuous machine tool, is among the most advanced in the world right now.

In fact no, - but maybe @Blitzo knows more ? - since as long as we don't know its construction numbers, the PLAAF-serial 61025 tells us only it is no. 05 within the 1st Air Brigade at Anshan.

My understanding is that there are credible individuals suggesting that this specific airframe (PLAAF serial 61025) is a very recent constructed airframe -- i.e.: it thus must have a very recent CB number.

In other words, the only thing of interest to us, and the only thing worth waiting for, is clear photo evidence of PLAAF serial 61025 to see if we can identify its CB number. If we can't even identify its CB number, then it's not really worth discussing anything, as far as I understand.

Didn't China still import the most advanced CNC machines from Japan and Germany? or my knowledge is obsolete already?

How about CNC 7-axis machines?

China continue to import Japanese/German machine tools .. But

China has enormous market for machine tools as world's factory you need a lot machines. so domestic firms are unable to fulfil demand. there are thousands of factories/production plants in china. so those firms are still importing German/Japanese tools. and Chinese tools were not as efficient as German/Japanese counterparts up until now.

on September 6, 2022 Chinese Ministry of industry and technology issued a report ..

1. The market share of domestic high-end CNC systems has increased from less than 1% to 31.9%
2. The market share of domestic digital tools increased from less than 10% to 45%

At present, the industry has formed a complete industrial system'

you see. as of 2022, Chinese firms gained 32 percent market share in high end CNC system with complete industrial chain. domestic firms rapidly taking over foreign firms share in mainland in high end CNC machine tools. it is matter of few years before they completely take over Chinese market.

as of 2021, more than 50 percent patent grants globally in Machine tools belong to PRC firms as per WIPO.

***********************************************************************************************
Chinese military industrial complex have shifted entirely on domestic machine tools.

Another big news is, recently COMAC also shifting on domestically produced heavy machine tools.

1,200-ton large-scale skin stretching machine is the first domestic equipment supported by the National 04 Special Project;

the 17-meter large skin panel CNC shot blasting machine is a The first domestically produced equipment jointly developed and manufactured by Kunshan Kaixin Precision Industry Co., Ltd., Shanghai Aircraft Corporation and Xigong University

five-axis equipment for skin sag milling and contour milling, core functional components 30,000 rpm high-speed electric spindle, AC double pendulum The head, the large-scale ultra-weak rigid skin transmission and turnover system are all designed, assembled, developed and produced by Xi'an Xinghang..

***********************************************************************************************

some Chinese tools makers continue to import core components from Japan and Germany. they still love western products and parts.

what is 7-axis machine ?

if i m not wrong. there is no such as 7-axis machine exist. LOL

7-axic machine is an advance upgradation of 5-axis machine to increase the efficiency. that's it. there is no technological leap or generational leap.

You can have a lot more axis but it is usually just means more spindles.
I doubt China will stop importing CNC equipment just because there is a domestic option, no other country have..
