More J-20 formation from rehearsal. All images are high-resolution.

I do not think there is any space for another missile in the sidebays. Some points i have forces me to be a fence-sitter.
1. Many long term members here are of the position that the source is quite reliable and even though the mode of output ( cartoon) is questionable, the basic ideas presented are quite truthful.
2. China's J-20 sidebay solution is unique and is an innovation in that niche. The buried weapons bay of stealth fighters are as rare as the fighters themselves and therefore there is room for many new solutions and methods of deployment.

Apparently the Chinese engineers have a more space efficient design than the diagram.
From the photo, you can see that the swivel arm is much shorter than the diagram depicted. You can also see that the bay is much deeper and of different shape.
The "error" in the diagram is that the location of the axis of the swivel arm is much higher than it really is.

P.S. the diagram was never meant to accurately show the weapon bay's internal structure, but only to demonstrate the mechanism of release.

Be careful when using this photo. AFAIK, this photo is of a company that produces electro-optical equipment than one that is directly involved in the J-20's supply chain.

The photo's point is to show the space within the side bay can probably accommodate a second PL-10 IF it is a very close or 1:1 model of the actual bay.

The second missile may not need an arm. Perhaps the ejection mechanism is completely different and utilises some means of pushing the missile out. This is super speculative on a thing we're not even close to being sure about though. They could have simply meant that J-20 can carry six PL-12 sized MRAAM equivalents now... making the two extra missiles remark valid with the diagram in the cartoon being deceptive.

The current missile wouldn’t allow for a second. The wings and structure take up to much space as does the arms the door is built on. It’s not practical.
Ejection of a second missile wouldn’t work unless the Missile had lock on after launch. If that was the case why have the first missile deployed as a pop out hard point?
Is the diagram in accurate? Yes it’s just meant to give an impression of how it works. Is the model accurate? We don’t know how accurate but if it it then the arms on the door would impede the space for your second missile.
