Mmm… the "re-announcement" of J-20's active duty somehow falls conveniently on the same day as the 1st day theatre showing of the movie "Sky Hunter (空天猎)", which is produced in collaboration with the PLAAF. The J-20 does make an appearance in the movie.

Prototype # 2021 of the J-20 program, equipped with Chinese engines, continued its flight tests today.

Sorry , if irritating, just want to ask,
as everybody here did not know what exactly China progress in ws-10 series, how did you know it is an engine by China, not Russia's new engine specially made for China as a result of SU 35 contract?

Because the engines in the pic looks like WS-10 and everyone in China is yapping about domestic engine is being tested on J-20

They're real. J-20s have been spotted with three camo schemes so far, a splinter-type, blob-type, and plain grey.

Yellow is just primer that goes on before the final layer of paint is added.

What could be the good for a combattant unit ?
