To admit I'm a bit surprised, since I thought that hand-over took place in late 2016 and service entry in March.

Exact curious, i have posted it

but if really it is in service for me make sense in this case first was yet delivered to a frontline Rgt, for date i read the plan was for end 2017...

A bit surprising but with China I have seen everything thinking for propaganda thew show J-20 in a combattant unit " he get ready " as for the 093B in 06/2016... finaly seems no.
But sure if it is serious we must find something...

Good point !

IMO it could indeed be a hint for the already happened or soon to happen hand-over to a first front-line unit.

J-20
First flight - 2011
Entered service - 2017?
Declassified - 2016?

Things really have changed. They now more willing to officially declassify certain projects.

While the official confirmation of J-20's active service status isn't all that exciting, it has prompted the release of previously unseen photos by various military photographers. Many of these will look familiar because photos from the same sequences had been released before, even if these particular ones have not.

Nice, esp the one in the Raptor-scheme we had this image in black & white only already in March.

Hi all the colour schemes are real ? Or just a photoshop and if you can give some info how many colour scheme j20 will be coming out as my understanding is it will be operated by plaff only it means in one colour scheme only

They're real. J-20s have been spotted with three camo schemes so far, a splinter-type, blob-type, and plain grey.

Yellow is just primer that goes on before the final layer of paint is added.
