Anyway, notice as Lead "breaks left", Wing follows very shortly after, Likly preparing to land,, you typically fly down the runway heading and do an "overhead break", my Dad used to refer to that as a "360 overhead".

Overall the pilot seem to be happy with the J 20 performance from Dafengcao
J-20 as an offensive weapon, since induction, perform well in platform stability, stealth capability, multi-sensor integration, fire control

LOL it's about half of what
In the interview starting at 2:25, the pilot (same pilot interviewed before the August 1st parade) states that the J-20 is an offensive weapon that serves as an integral part in penetrative operations against enemy air defense. It has great platform stability, excellent stealth, and excellent multi-sensor integration and fire-control support.

Guess it just goes to show that my translation is on point.
I was impressed, I mean it, I occasionally translate in
Russian Military News, Reports, Data, etc.
and later look at the related article for example at NavalToday.com to see how awkward my wording was LOL

are you a pro, or just know stuff in both languages so well you're able to get it right quickly? (I noticed you had been fast with that vid)

If you’re bilingual it’s easy enough to translate the basic gist. The pilot interviews in this case don’t say anything complicated.

The absence of vegetation suggests western China. I assume that this footage was taken during the August 1st parade.

Possible but no reason to assume that necessarily. J-20s have been flying out of Dingxin for nearly a year now after all.

You are wrong and i will give you a link to the original Russian patent for LEVCONs

translate it read it, but to summarize it, it says to improve post stall recovery and for supersonic drag/lift improvement basically it works as a canard.
In fact they can be used asymmetrically for roll.

Old fighters like IAI Lavi, Dassault Rafale have had studied J-20 current configuration, it is not new, the J-20, basically copies F-15 Active canards, HiMAT UAV testbed and the original aerodynamic study of X-35 VSTOL project besides the DSI equipped F-16,

in this link you will see the original VTOL early F-35 concept which is basically the current J-20

So we can easily say its aerodynamics are very much F-35 like, and 1990s based in general terms but the canard arrangement and ventral fins in booms is more 1980s even 1970s since even the early IAI Arie used it in some early concepts and IAI studied it in the 1970s for Lavi, but also did Rafale.

c'mon guys don't feed the troll It does not really matter what he said . The pilot seem to be happy with J 20 performance and that is good enough for me. From Henri K blog I don't understand what he meant by "Aries"

I used the word "Aries" to define the role of the J-20, and this is confirmed today by one of the PLAAF pilots, who is very satisfied with the reliability, stealth, data fusion and firing control of the plane. Differential ducks very interesting too.
