The absence of vegetation suggests western China. I assume that this footage was taken during the August 1st parade.

I noticed the same footage as in your gif
In the interview starting at 2:25, the pilot (same pilot interviewed before the August 1st parade) states that the J-20 is an offensive weapon that serves as an integral part in penetrative operations against enemy air defense. It has great platform stability, excellent stealth, and excellent multi-sensor integration and fire-control support.
I sure haven't, and I LOVE "PEELING OFF" pictures and tapes,, my little brother Dan was taking some pictures as we were in formation, and he asked me to "peel off" several times "Peel Off" several times,, I don't know if that was official USAF jargon, but that's always what my Dad referred to "breaking formation" as.
