Lieutenant General
Can this be confirmed?
Who knows? If it's not PSed or lighting angle, it could also be maybe a new interim WS-10 engine made for the J-20.

Might also be a heat-concealing silver coat on AL-31 nozzles.Who knows? If it's not PSed or lighting angle, it could also be maybe a new interim WS-10 engine made for the J-20.
I got this from a thread that said the WS-15 was installed on a J-20.View attachment 33039
This happens every time. Someone sees shiny nozzles from a distance and think it's a new engine. Were there any reputable individuals in that thread suggesting it, or was it just people who saw the aircraft with its engines being particularly shiny and assuming it's a different engine and jumping the gun and saying it's WS-15?
Because as others have said, it is most likely that it is the same engine that's been on every other J-20 LRIP so far, and the nozzle just happened to catch the light in a certain way.
The translation for that position is "deputy director of Technology Committee of AVIC". It appears to be a consulting committee rather than a leadership or management position. The director and some other deputy directors of that committee are China's most prominent (semi-)retired aviation experts (ages 70+). Given that Yang is only 53, I'm not sure this will be a suitable position for him. Maybe this will not be his only position, or maybe this piece of info is inaccurate? I don't know.
So it's a prmotion then?Seems like a position where he could wield more influence, and given his track record I think that would be a good thing for AVIC overall.
So it's a prmotion then?
PS: I'm however more interested to get a closer look into these partially blurred/blocked J-20-hangars !
There you go. But these are not the same as blurred out hangars. I think these are further down the runway.
