Indian writer says J20 doesn't have stealth coating because the one in the high plateau airport only have a camo draped and left outside , exposed to weather.

Special coatings need protective hangar to guard against the open weather corrosion.

That explains why India writer doesn't know much about stealth technology to begin with.

Heh!, Heh!, Heh!, truth is the Indian guy knows just as much as any one of us, and we are ALL speculating based on what we actually do know. Truth is, most Westerners have far more information on their own aircraft than any of us, except possibly the few people in or near the factory, or that have some inside connection will ever know??

Whether it has a stealth coating at this stage is beyond irrelevant, and it likely does NOT?? reason being that aircraft in "test" are constantly being dis-assembled, inspected, and re-assembled, time after time, after time. NONE of these aircraft will be in any way IOC for some time, then and only then will stealth coatings really matter as the J-20 is worked up, and its true capabilities or lack of them will be explored.

It will have strengths and weaknesses, just like any other airplane, but remember, the Brat has been telling you that high end L/O aircraft are very expensive, very complex, and very rare by their very nature.

The Chinese like everyone else are in a budget crunch, their very ambitious plans have been dialed back like everyone else's, and in spite of the many protests to the contrary, the Chinese economy piggy-backs off the US economy, and vica-versa. I just have to chuckle, all these back and forth "tweaks", only encourage the world to realize that we do need to be prepared for people to "get out of hand", and if we don't give heed and prepare we are a bunch of dufuses? which looking at the BHO team, including HRC??? is very likely??? and I'm going to chuckle once again? what else can we do??? crazy, but the J-20 is coming along, albeit slowly, and surely, she will mature, just as the F-35 is maturing, and in spite of protestations to the contrary, she is currently suffering "growing pains", fact of life fellers, fact of life in the "big boy world".

And I have chuckle to those who thinks China has a budget crunch that hinders it's military technological ambition. If that's true, than how come China was the first to send out a quantum satellite as well as improvement on quantum radar that can be implemented onto the J-20. Remember China doesn't have a $18 Trillion and counting debt like Uncle Sam government. China in fact has EXTRA money in foreign currency reserves in the 3-4 Trillions of dollars. How's that for a "budget crunch"? Now it's the US economy and stock market depended on China more than the naysayer and doom mongers would like to accept.

Yeah ;) and why test 5th generation out completely lost in Tibet very curious... they don' t have special installations, normal for a very rich country as you say ?

Yeah and how many stealth fighters has Europe tested so far out in high altitude? I thought so.:rolleyes:o_O Remember China has the most powerful "installations" for wind tunnel testing and super computer. Perhaps the high Tibetan plateau (tallest in the world) is just another way China to test the durability, ruggedness, and ALL of the components to go with it.

It's kind of Funny, at this initial production stage, J20 still doing high attitude testing.
That should be done during design and experimental stage.

If they found high attitude issue , is that means the program going to dial back and the production would be stopped.

It makes No Sense At All for what they doing.
