The first one looks that way from the front, but then from the side it seems like the missile is too long for the bay.

As I say...difficult to tell for sure.

The shadow is covering about half the door in the second image.

The video shows where those pics came from. There you can see the PL-10 was probably intended for the side bay because it's almost a perfect fit.

I cannot see what you refer to, which launch rails on the main weapons bay are you talking about?

Further, both of the doors on the main weapons bay fold... they are symmetrical

Never mind I mistaken the folded edge.

I have to say this is a neat Work around. by using this kind of pop out Rail J20 can still be stealthy, with out needed the complex data links of the F22. Because There system alows the missile too use it's own seaker and not have too be slaved to the Fighters.

I think they'll still need the ability to slave missiles to the fighter. Main weapons bay and all.

Hi all, long time no see! Someone says somewhere that the weapons tests seem to be too early in the J-20's development. So I remembered yet another rumor I had heard days ago: The J-20 will be inducted in small quantities between end of 2013 and the beginning of 2014... Yeah, that would be two years earlier than what previous rumor had it.

I just love this kind of rumors because unlike predictions into the next decades or centuries, this kind is easy to prove or disprove.

Besides that I'm a bit surprised to see these test in the publiac done at CAC ... I would have expected these to see - if ever - much later or done at the CFTE. MAybe we can see the main-bays loaded too soon.
