Hey ... I have not seen before this image !
It is rare to see J-20's back. I'm curious about the things in front and in rear of the cockpit. Are they windows of EOTS?

I would hazard against using those acronyms, personally. J-20's "EOTS" is under its nose and should be better described just as an EO/IRST system. We only call it EOTS because F-35 is the plane that pioneered such a configuration for a EO/IRST system.
The aperture behind the cockpit is one for J-20's 360 eletro optic passive detection system, similar in position to F-35's EODAS apertures. I've illustrated the various positions of the six apertures before, but this is definitely the best picture yet showing the aperture behind the cockpit.
Of course, we shouldn't call J-20's EOPDS an EODAS, because EODAS has certain unique capabilities that we do not know if J-20's EOPDS has.
My EOTS stands for Electro-Optic Targeting/Tracking System.
My point is that using acronyms/names that are also marketing names for a specific product rather than a general kind of product may lead to confusion.
It's like calling all smartphones an iphone.
Clearly In the context of fighter aircraft, or even stealth fighters, using product specific terms like EOTS in place of general names like EOIRST, or EODAS instead of PDS, is not beneficial if we want accuracy. This is a defense forum after all, so why not try to keep things clear when we can?
