Off Topic: Love you Mace, or should I say Assassin, first off, you're making assumptions and putting words in my mouth based on your in-accurate assumptions. When I put OFF TOPIC, as a heading, I am warning posters that this irrelevant tripe, or that I am responding to irrelevant tripe. I have never stated that the J-20 is a "rip-off" of the F-22, but, I wasn't born last week, I would call the forward fuse of the J-20 a "knock-off" of the F-22 forward fuse, not line for line, but very similar shaping, for a very good reason, it works, and why re-invent the wheel. Speaking of which, US wheels and tires look an awful lot like Chinese wheels and tires, and you probably think the US is "ripping off" the Chinese wheels. So yeah, we are, what are you going to do about it????????

If you're saying that I'm naturally superior, (Gee, who would have guessed that?), probably true though, but that I'm just feeling a little inferior, gee man, thanks, your are a psychologist, I probably owe you fifty bucks, cause that great compliment makes me feel just awesome! so I won't argue with you about that......hang in there Mace, I hope you receive this in the spirit it has been offered, and please feel free to respond, I love to argue, just ask the honey-badger??? and Yeah, she does bite, and claw, and well I should just learn to shut-up.

The real reason I post OFF TOPIC: is to give the mods a heads up, that while I want to respond, I am aware that the subject is off topic, and that they may feel free to edit/or delete at their discretion.

And Mace, your are a very polite gentleman, and I do truly respect you for that, and to be very honest I do like you, and I appreciate your taking the time to respond to my post, I do listen to your advice by the way, and I will re-read your post and try to take it to heart.

The Boeing concept that surfaced... yes, if it were the other way around it would definitely be called a rip-off. So pardon that some of us get a kick when the tables are turned especially when those out there that criticize what's wrong with J-20 is seen on that next gen Boeing concept.

What AMace is trying to say Brat is that there are a lot China hating trolls( NOT YOU or any one in this forum specifically) out there who doesn't want to see this J-20 developing fast because of their hatred towards anything "communism". This unfortunately includes the media (certain ones) who doesn't always act like reasonable adults and don't want to give any credit to China..period. The naysayers, doubters, and haters will make up any story to discredit any of China's accomplishment and I've come to accept it and don't care but watch them getting butt hurt one Chinese advancement at a time.

Mace, I don't think the J-20 is a "rip-off", I do think the Chinese designers likely borrowed a few design elements from the forward fuse, and I have NO problem with that, my point is that design engineers are all "piggy-backing" off of some design elements of a previous aircraft. I am sorry if I were a little blunt, like you, I try to be courteous, and to be honest China, Russia, the US, and Europe all have serial detractors, and I'm glad you realize, I'm not one of those. I am not criticizing the J-20, and I love Dr. Song, I loved reading his paper, and I am absolutely fascinated by his airplane, and yes I realize that there is a whole design team behind him, and good for them....So, I apologize if I offended you, and I'm quite certain that you, and likely most of the Sino-Defense forum Gentlemen are likely brainiac's, I have learned a lot, continue to learn a lot, and I pray that China and the US can keep their act together. I love and admire the Asian people and their culture, their genious, and their food. So guys I am a friend, I do get it, and if I were a Chinese designer and loved the old Lockheed P-38 Lightning, it wouldn't bother me at all to render my modern interpretation in a jet fighter and call it the Kelly Johnson special, and if somebody criticized it, I'd just say "sue me".... Vesicles, that mottled grey is just "break up" camouflage, designed to break up the shape of the aircraft when seen against a back-drop, lots of aircraft wear "break up camo", but my old man was just sick when they started painting those gorgeous aluminum C-130s with camouflage, he also flew the Combat Talon 1 with all that black rubberized paint, which was one of the first stealth coatings in war-time use. People who think that J-20 is a 'rip off' and J-31 is a product of 'hacked JSF Files' ought to go and sit in the 'aviation class for dummies' again. Both Chinese jets are Chinese efforts and the yankee is habitual of undermining weapons developed by Asian nations.

Based on the grass, it looks like the photo in post 3758 should be older than the one in #3755. Given how green the grass is in #3755, that photo mus be recent.
