This photo is probably taken a few seconds around the earlier photo in that same place, so it technically isn't "new". Note the same position of the J-20 relative to the tower, and if we really want to pick at the details, note the same position of window shades in the tower as well.

Might be ready to fly. Is the J-10S a chase plane?

I'm almost sure she will fly today (even if "Bltizo" is correct with his statement) simply since in about half an hour I will leave home to a family visit ... I will travel to my parent, I'm driving along the German Autobahn for hours and worst of all I will be offline for about three hours ... as such she will fly and I won't see the images until I'm home.

So enjoy the show and save all images for me, PLEASE !!!!!

Not sure what You mean (other than the added FLIR/EOTS) ... can You explain PLEASE !?? IMO the front secoton is the same.

Deino

Equation explained correctly what I meant.

I think Quickie meant the number of panels or planes on the fuselage front nose section.

Kinda like this for comparison:

In the 2 older prototypes, the bottom nose section have 3 faces with the lower face somewhat rounded. In the new prototype, the same section has 4 faces with the lower 2 faces forming an angle, although a very small one and not that visible. A sharper lower chine is now visible from the side of the new prototype nose, although not that obvious but noticeably different compared to the older prototypes.

It is not the production rate !!

Remember WS-10 is developed from the CFM-56's engine core which itself is derived from the GE-F-101 powering the B-1 !!

It is essentially a bomber engine. Even though Later F-101 developed into F-110, a fighter engine. The USAF has stated that PW-F-100 is a better fighter engine.

That means that WS-10 might never be as good of a fighter engine as the F-100 or AL-31F which are specifically designed for fighters !!

I think that the prototype using AL-31FM2 is a better choice !! But WS-10G, the highly upgraded WS-10 could do the job just fine !!

It is just a matter of time, which one mature first !!!

So far, AL-31FM2 is still in development and so does WS-10G !!

Lets wait and find out!!

Why nobody thinks that is the WS-15 engine?

OMG!!! How did I miss this one?!?!

J-20 looks awesome. Could this be the final prototype, the serial production variant?

China certainly isn't wasting anytime on the J-20!

I hope that China is successful in mastering engine development and production. Cuz, from this angle, it seems that the only thing left for China to do is come up with some solid, powerful, high-performance, maintainence friendly and durable combat-aircraft engines. Once China achieves this, there is no stopping them!!

Also, it seems like J-20's new paint-job, looks similar to the one Raptors and Lightnings have. The only difference is that PLAAF's logo is in color (RED!!), whereas on the Raptor/Lightning, it's in shades of grey/white.

Because it's simply not possible.

Make the mental preparation that it's still Al31 and it will enter service with AL31.

Any hope on Chinese indigenous engines are doomed to burst...countless disappointments have taught me this lesson the hard way.

Any expectation will only bring great disappointments and nothing more.

Not sure. But even if yes it aligns with previous photos and sketch. And should be good representation of the real thing, in my opinion
You can tell it's a PS when you compare the position of the star versus the lighter color edge on the vertical stabilizer to the previously leaked photo. Although like you said, it could be an accurate depiction of the new features.
