The bottom half of the nose section now has 4 faces compared to 3 faces previously.

Not sure what You mean (other than the added FLIR/EOTS) ... can You explain PLEASE !?? IMO the front secoton is the same.

Aside from the changes that people mentioned already, the tail cones have been lengthened. There are also two colored patches beneath the canard, possibly vents or sensors of some sort.

I think Quickie meant the number of panels or planes on the fuselage front nose section.

Another major change is the reduced size of hydraulic systems. You can see that it has gotten a lot smaller, further reducing the RCS !!!!

Avionics wise it also has EOTS like the F-35 !!

The part where both ventral and dorsal stabilisers meet.
Actually that the tail cones appear to be made of the same material with the radome, it will be a nice surprise if there are some kind of EW instruments inside those cones

I certainly hope you are right, especially for Deino's sake, I am really rather surprised at the tail clip, and you either like it?? or not, I am more excited by the intakes and nose gear doors,,,, they are much cleaner than the previous version, and good catch Eng on the patches under the canard's, passive radar antennae??? You guys will be spazing out when Chengdu releases some Air to Air shots, (yeah, I will be too), I really can't wait to see her "breaking formation", and I'm certain we will see a much more attractive airplane, (prolly, much more wicked looking chick), hopefully a few aileron rolls and some "high alpha" shots as well???? So PLAAF??? Chengdu???? lets not let those carrier boys show-off all the Kool Toys???? really, go Air Force! and yes I do think the ADIZ built a fire under this project!!
