Clear screenshot. The left nozzle clearly is in full dilation and the right isn't. I heavily suspect an engine failure.

But a single engine failure alone shouldn't be capable of bringing an entire jet down. If the engine failure case is true, then there must've been something else wrong with the J-15.
Flaps are down, but since there's only a single flap setting for Su-33s and assuming they carried that over for the J-15 we can't tell if its during take off or landing.It's been speculated that this happened during takeoff or landing, given it's proximity to the airport
