Has anyone seen the J-15 report in the latest Air Forces Monthly ? ... Sadly me not, however Flankerman (= Ken Duffey) told me that it includes some strange "News".

I hope China can bring its carrier strike group to the Arabian Sea or Indian Ocean it would be a great opportunity to test the defence and the air defence perimeter while doing excercises with the Pakistan Naval Air Arm and Air Force
Before Pakistan nuclear tests Pakistan used to do these type of excercise with the USN called Inspired alert where PN aircraft would carry Exocets and run mock attacks and try a series of different stratedgys to defeat the carrier defences often flying just a few metres above sea level at high speed and then climbing for a few seconds turning on thier radars getting a lock and dropping low again to engage surface warships
It was a great learning opportunity for both country's but they never continued after 9/11
Now we have JF-17 equipped with much more deadly missiles like CM-400AKG and a more capable aircraft and it would be great chance for PLAN in Type 052D DDG and test out the defences in a almost real time enviroment and improve its defence and close any gaps there is in the defence while on the move at high speed
Also it would be a good for PN on how to attack warships far out at sea as its primary operation now for the navy in war time enviroment
AWACS, refueling tankers fast jets and even faster missiles a deadly combination and great to practice against for any carrier strike group
I am sure there is many weakness for both we can exploit gaps and holes dead areas we dont know about and as a result fix and correct
Not sure if it's a good idea at this time though. India will most definitely protest and pitch a fit especially if such exercises is done relatively close to them even if it's in international waters. While it's 100% legal, from a political aspect however you just know it will cause unnecessary tensions in that part of the world.

No militray organisation can work by themselves they need partners they need international cooperation and therefore China is no different
Liaoning is working up to a full carrier air wing and will host 24 pretty good fighter aircraft which may take a few years but sooner or later China will be fielding a capable carrier strike package which could number 8-10 warships once they have achieved that they will have missions to acomplish which means they will have to do exceciess with foreign nations and Pakistan is a obvious choice for geographical and historical reasons which does not directly benifit both nations but others too as Aman 13 showed Chinese warships taking part in a Pakistani naval exceciess with Western warship invited too a good chance to break ice between China and the West
With much of Pakistans hardware coming from China the integration becomes more streamlined and easier, it would be good to see a for example a Chinese aircraft flying from Liaoning refuelled by PAF IL-78 Midas tanker or a PN Z-9C crossing decking on the Liaoning or a PN FFG passing info to Chinese Z-18 which then acts on that information
So that's why I believe PN and PLAN have a good future together and there much to look forward too especially with the carrier coming online
India will protest even if the Azmat Class fires off a 23mm gun it won't make no difference they can do as they wish, if China and Pakistan decide to excercise that's what will happen
